CERAMICS
My exploration of clay as a medium for sculpture is a journey through the vibrant spectrum of color, the intricate tapestry of texture and the inspiration of nature, matrifocal myth, mystery and art making as a healing modality. I am inspired by the colors, shapes, textures and seemingly random movements and rhythm of the natural world. I aim to invent evocative sculpture that suggests a sense of playfulness and whimsy in form and surface; a celebration of Elemental Sources: Earth, Water, Fire, Air, blending them harmoniously to evoke a sensory experience that transcends the ordinary.

I am fascinated by the voluptuous excesses that accumulate, clutter and distract, and at the same time can elevate the ordinary detritus of daily life into extraordinary objects that demand attention and reverence, transforming the ordinary toward the extraordinary.

Clay with its malleability and versatility, allows me to breathe life into my artistic vision, capturing the essence of the natural world in every form and curve. Texture becomes a visual language of its own, inviting viewers to explore the tactile intricacies of movement to forge a deeper connection with the message and meaning. I aim to ignite a sense of wonder and reverence for the world we inhabit, inviting viewers to rediscover the magic that surrounds us every day.
